The 2016 Vancouver Home + Design Show has finally arrived! From renovation overhaul to brand-new build, DIY do-over to one-day decor dreams, the Vancouver Home + Design Show is where big ideas, trusted advice, and fresh inspiration unite from now, Thursday, October 27 at 4PM, right until closing at 6PM on Sunday, October 30.

With so much to see and do, make sure you have a game plan before you hit the Vancouver Convention Centre - West for the show. To help, we’ve created a must-see and do checklist of insider tips to help you make the most of your visit to the Vancouver Home + Design Show. Read on!

Stop
Before you gather your paint samples, Pinterest boards and fabric swatches to bring to the Show, be sure you have your Vancouver Home + Design Show tickets in hand. Save yourself $3 (and some time!) by buying your tickets online courtesy of Container Direct.

Now that you’re set, find your way to the Vancouver Convention Centre - West (1055 Canada Place, Vancouver BC). If you’re bringing your car and planning to do some shopping, parking at Vancouver Convention Centre - West is $10.00-$24.00 per car, or you can park at any auxiliary lots surrounding the Convention Centre. See
Now that you’re in, it’s time to take in all that #VHDS16 has to offer. Don’t miss the talent and expert advice on the Urban Barn Main Stage presented by Vancouver Sun. Get expert advice straight from the industry’s top home + design talent from must-see presenters including Mia Parres & Rob Evans, stars of HGTV's The Expandables, who will show you how to fall in love with your home again.

And PSST! Stick around for a selfie with Mia & Rob at meet and greets after each of their stage presentations on Friday, October 28 at 5PM and Saturday, October 29 at 12PM.

Catch advice from W Network and Cottage Life’s Colin & Justin, as well as Todd Talbot, star of HGTV’s Love It or List It Vancouver, and DIY expert Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, plus a slew of Vancouver’s very own top designers including a presentation on creating a smart home on a budget by Jamie Banfield. By the end of it all, you’re certain to have everything you need to live and entertain in equal style – design know-how included.

Looking to step up your kitchen game? Be sure to snag a front row seat at the Samsung Cooking Stage, with appliances provided by Samsung Canada and furnishings from Urban Barn. Enjoy live cooking demonstrations from local culinary legends and rising stars alike, including one of Western Living Magazine’s Top 40 Foodies Under 40, and winner of multiple International Chocolate Awards, Pastry Chef and Chocolatier Adam Chandler of BETA5 at 2PM on Friday, October 28, sharing tips on how to make choux pastry, and lifestyle expert Janette Ewen presenting Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 at 3PM to give you tips on “Navigating Design Trends & Innovation”.
